The Gift of Time

"Life credits you with 86,400 seconds every morning,
& every night it writes off as lost whatever of this you have failed to invest.
If you fail to use the day's deposit, the loss is yours.
You cannot go back and you cannot draw against tomorrow.
You must live in the present on today's deposit.
Time is precious.
To realize the value of one year, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realize the value of a minute, ask the person who missed their plane.
To realize the value of a second, ask the person who just avoided an accident.
...Yes, time is ours to do with as we choose.
Yesterday is history and tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.  Your gift.
Maybe that's why it is called 'the present.'"
